Wendy knows a million tales. Alice has her own. It's 
easy to tell them apart. Alice's end. They rhyme and 
curl and fly back home for tea. They make sense. 
Wendy's circle and float and somehow never land. Something avoided 
sits within, something said and missed that Alice can't pin 
down. She wants to understand, so very badly, but the 
words she needs to catch the thoughts are spiteful. Mannerless.
They laugh at her when Wendy isn't there.

When Wendy leaves the room, Alice feels lost and blind. 
She looks under the bed for helpful bottles but finds only dust.
