The promotion board asks for a character reference.

Gina doesn't say: Yvonne lies.

She lies about her job; she lies about her age.  She lies about
her happiness, her loneliness, her desire for anything more
than someone to bloody well talk to.

She lies about dating, and the men on the end of the phone.
Oh, she lies to them as well, but that doesn't count.

She lies about wanting Honey to stay, and sends her home
with a cheery smile.

Then turns up, and does a solid day's work.

Gina says: I consider her one of my best officers.
